AlphaTheta has unveiled the CDJ-3000X, the latest addition to its line of professional DJ players. Building on the legacy of the CDJ-3000, the new model incorporates wireless connectivity, advanced performance features, and audio upgrades designed for both clubs and festival stages.
The CDJ-3000X arrives with integrated Wi Fi, enabling direct access to cloud libraries and streaming services without the need for wired connections. A front-facing NFC contact point pairs the unit with the rekordbox mobile app, allowing users to sync playlists from their smartphones seamlessly.
The 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen now displays up to 16 tracks in browser view and introduces new playlist editing functions directly from the player. A Global Tag List consolidates tracks from USB devices, cloud storage, and streaming services into a single searchable list.
For live performance, the player offers an expanded suite of Hot Cue workflows, including Touch Cue, Smart Cue, and Gate Cue, alongside redesigned jog wheels with adjustable tension and improved tactile response. AlphaTheta also confirmed that the CDJ-3000X caches the full track on load, ensuring playback continues even if a USB drive is removed or a connection drops mid-set.
The device is powered by an ESS Technology DAC, boosting the signal-to noise ratio to 115 dB and extending frequency response from 4 Hz to 40 kHz. A redesigned power supply further reduces noise and enhances low-end performance. Connectivity options include USB-A, dual USB-C ports, analog RCA, and a coaxial digital output. The player measures 344.6 × 490.4 × 130.1 mm and weighs 6 kg.
The CDJ-3000X unlocks rekordbox Performance mode on macOS and Windows without requiring a separate license. It also offers USB-HID support for Serato DJ Pro and is compatible with Beatport Streaming and TIDAL (availability varies by region). For cloud integration, a rekordbox Creative or Professional plan is required.
